Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

modoum wp (“the Service”) is an AI-assisted sales and customer support platform for WhatsApp, operated by Capital Tower General Trading L.L.C. (“we”, “us”, “our”).

The Service allows businesses to connect their WhatsApp number, receive AI-generated replies to customer messages, and allow human sales agents to take over conversations when a query cannot be resolved automatically.

2. Data We Receive from Meta

When a business connects its WhatsApp account to the Service through Meta’s Embedded Signup flow, we may receive the following categories of data:

• End-customer phone numbers and WhatsApp identifiers
• Message content, including text and media
• Contact names
• Message status events, including sent, delivered, and read status
• Business phone number metadata

We only access WhatsApp assets and phone numbers belonging to businesses that have explicitly granted our application access during onboarding.

3. How We Use the Data

We process this data to:

• Provide customer support and sales assistance on behalf of the onboarded business
• Generate AI responses to customer messages
• Route conversations that the AI cannot resolve to human sales agents
• Maintain the business’s conversation history

4. Storage and Retention

Message content and associated metadata are stored in Elasticsearch for conversation history and AI context.

Media files are stored on our own server infrastructure.

Data is retained for 24 Months from the date of the conversation. After this period, the data is deleted unless a deletion request is received earlier.

5. Sharing with Third-Party Processors

We transmit message content to Google’s Gemini API, operated by Google LLC, for the sole purpose of generating AI responses.

Google processes message content on our behalf and does not use it for purposes beyond providing the service to us.

We do not sell personal data.

We do not share personal data with third parties except for the processor described above or where disclosure is required by law.

6. Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect data, including:

• Encryption in transit
• Access controls limiting data access to personnel who require it
• Credential management through environment-level secrets

7. Your Rights — Access, Correction, and Deletion

Individuals may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data.

We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and delete or correct the relevant data as required.

8. Human Review

Sales agents employed by the onboarded business may read conversations assigned to them.

Message content may also be used internally to evaluate and improve the quality of AI-generated responses.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

The current version will always be available on this page. Material changes will be reflected here together with an updated Effective Date.
